Awkwafina

Awkwafina was an American actor and musician who made her name with clever raps that tackled sexuality and racial identities with an edgy, comical perspective. She then expanded into Hollywood. She was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants within Forest Hills Queens her first taste of musician life came through the trumpet. Later, she began hip-hop and classical training. At college, she was studying writing and women's studies. In addition, she spent a short time studying Mandarin at the University of Beijing. Her focus shifted to music once she completed her degree. Her track My Vag which was her response to the Mickey Avalon song My Dick, became a popular viral sensation via the Internet and eventually appeared on her debut album Yellow Ranger. This album also featured viral hits such as the body positive Queef or the winking city tour New York Bitche$. This song is directly tied to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide for 2015, which was a travel guide. The singer decided to make acting as a profession after having completed her two previous projects, as an author and musician. Her film credits include films like Neighbors 2, Storks, and Bad Rap. In the year 2018, her breakout role was in Dude Ocean's 8 as well as Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she debuted her debut EP "In Fina We Trust".
