Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue E. Taylor is an American actor-producer and stage actress is known for playing in the feature film Ray Undercover Brother as well as in The Mentalist. She graduated with a BA from Brown University in African-American Studies. The Tisch school of the arts, New York University she obtained an MFA. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actress and producer who is involved in the world of film and on television. She started acting on stage before appearing in mainstream, independent, as well as television shows. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico, and also appeared on BET's epic drama The Book of Negroes. For both of these roles she won critical acclaim as well as a variety of nominations and awards, including the Television Critics Choice Award for the best Actress. In 1995, she made her debut as Ariel on the stage on stage in The Tempest. The actress has appeared on Broadway in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. In her film career, she is renowned for her performances in films such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help.
