Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is a famous American actor and singer. She is an Michigan native born and fostered by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). The mother of Kristen is Polish and her father is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen was already a talented entertainer at an early stage. In 1992, she was awarded her first role at her audition in Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell's mom enrolled her with an agency before her 13th birthday. She was then featured in TV commercials as well as newspaper advertisements. Additionally, she began to take private acting classes. Bell was in a role of minor importance that was not credited to her for her part in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell went to Shrine Catholic High School and was part of music and drama clubs. The Wizard of Oz production at her highschool won Bell the leading Dorothy part. Bell later moved into New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She studied musical theater at the Tisch School of the Arts. Bell left college in 2001 when she took the role of Becky for Tom Sawyer. In the was the same year that she also was the first to be credited in Pootie Tang (2001), but her scene was cut and her character was not shown in the credits sequence. Bell made an appearance together with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
